Slot Machines

A slot machine is a type of casino game that accepts paper tickets with barcodes or other symbols into a designated slot on the machine, in order to display credits based on the paytable. These machines can be found in casinos and other gaming establishments, and are typically themed to a specific genre or locale. Classic symbols include bells, fruit, and stylized lucky sevens.
Some machines have a credit meter that displays the total amount of money or credits that the player has earned. This can be a numeric display or, in the case of video slot machines, a graphic representation of the current balance. If the meter is flashing, it usually indicates that change is needed, a hand-pay request has been made, or there is a problem with the machine.
